Terms of Service

By accessing or using Nzuri, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before listing, browsing, or transacting on our platform.

Effective date: June 1, 2025

Nzuri is a curated real estate platform connecting property owners, agents, and buyers across Rwanda and beyond. These Terms of Service govern all use of the Nzuri website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). References to “you” apply to any visitor, registered user, property owner, or buyer using the Platform.

Listing Eligibility & Ownership

You may only list a property that you own or have explicit legal authority to sell or rent on behalf of the owner. Proof of ownership or agency authorization may be requested at any time.

Listing a property you do not own, without the owner's written consent, is strictly forbidden and constitutes fraud. Nzuri reserves the right to immediately remove such listings and suspend or permanently ban the responsible account.

Properties listed must be real, physically existing, and legally available for the transaction type indicated (sale or rent).

Fraudulent listings will be reported to relevant Rwandan authorities. Do not list any property you do not have the right to list.

Property Content Standards

All photos uploaded must be high quality, well-lit, and accurately represent the current condition of the property. Blurry, misleading, or stock images are prohibited.

Property descriptions must be truthful, complete, and written in clear language. Exaggerated claims (e.g., fabricated amenities, false proximity to landmarks) are not allowed.

Nzuri reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing that does not meet our content quality standards, without prior notice and without refund of any listing fee already paid.

Listings must include at least one clear cover photo. We strongly recommend uploading a full gallery for better visibility and buyer confidence.

Accuracy & Property Status Updates

Property owners and listing agents are required to keep their listing status current and accurate at all times. If a property has been sold, rented, or is no longer available, the status must be updated immediately.

Leaving a sold or rented property listed as “active” is considered misinformation and may result in listing suspension.

Any material change to the property (price adjustment, structural change, change in ownership) must be reflected in the listing within 7 days of the change occurring.

Nzuri may automatically deactivate listings that appear stale (unchanged for an extended period) and notify the owner to confirm availability before reactivating.

Buyers rely on your listing status to make decisions. Outdated listings damage trust for everyone on the platform.

Payments & No Refund Policy

All fees on Nzuri including listing fees, visit access fees, and slideshow promotion fees are charged in Rwandan Francs (RWF) via Mobile Money (MoMo) unless otherwise specified.

All payments are final and non-refundable. Once a payment has been processed and confirmed, no refund will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to: change of mind, failed negotiations, property status changes, or account termination.

If a payment is initiated but not completed due to a technical error on our end, please contact info@nzuri.rw within 48 hours with your transaction reference.

Fees are set by Nzuri and may change at any time. Current fees are always displayed before you confirm a payment.

There are no exceptions to the no-refund policy. Ensure you are certain before approving any MoMo prompt.

Prohibited Conduct

Listing properties you do not own or have authority to list.

Providing false, misleading, or exaggerated information in any listing, profile, or communication on the platform.

Attempting to conduct transactions outside the platform to circumvent fees or listing rules.

Harassing, threatening, or deceiving other users, agents, or Nzuri staff.

Using the platform to launder money, facilitate fraud, or engage in any activity that violates Rwandan law.

Creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions or access features not available to your account level.

Scraping, copying, or redistributing platform content, listings, or data without written permission from Nzuri.

Posting inappropriate, offensive, or irrelevant content in any form on the platform.

Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension, legal action, or both.

Platform Rules & Best Practices

Registered users must keep their profile information accurate, including contact details and identity information. Impersonation of another person or organization is strictly prohibited.

Agents and vendors using the platform must hold valid credentials and comply with all applicable Rwandan real estate regulations.

All communications between buyers and sellers initiated through Nzuri must remain professional, honest, and in good faith.

Nzuri may feature selected properties on the homepage slideshow at the owner's request, subject to payment of the applicable promotion fee and adherence to content quality standards.

Nzuri reserves the right to verify any listing, request supporting documentation, or conduct on-site inspections to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the platform.

User accounts are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Liability & Dispute Resolution

Nzuri acts solely as an intermediary platform and is not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted listings, the outcome of any negotiations, or any loss resulting from a property transaction.

In the event of a dispute between a buyer and a seller, both parties are encouraged to first attempt resolution directly. If unresolved, disputes should be handled through appropriate Rwandan legal channels.

Nzuri's total liability in any matter shall not exceed the fees paid by the user to the platform in the 30 days preceding the dispute.

Nzuri is not liable for: property defects discovered after a transaction, title disputes, third-party fraud, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Changes to These Terms

Nzuri reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email or an in-platform notice.

If you do not agree with updated terms, you must discontinue use of the platform and may request account deletion by contacting info@nzuri.rw.
