Nzuri Real Estate (“Nzuri,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Nzuri platform — website, mobile applications, and related services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our platform. By using Nzuri, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
What We Collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what we collect automatically, and what we receive from third parties.

From third parties
We do not collect or store your Mobile Money PIN, full payment card numbers, or any sensitive financial credentials. Payment processing is handled entirely by the MoMo provider.
How We Use Your Data
Account management: To create and maintain your account, verify identity, and provide access to platform features.
Listings: To display your property listings to potential buyers and renters on the platform.
Payments: To initiate and verify Mobile Money transactions, generate payment references, and maintain transaction records.
Communications: To send you confirmations, updates, alerts, and responses to your support inquiries.
Platform improvement: To analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, and improve features based on how users interact with the platform.
Security: To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service.
Legal compliance: To meet obligations under Rwandan law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.
Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms and are never stored in plain text.
Access to personal data within Nzuri is restricted to employees and contractors who need it to perform their job and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
While we take strong precautions, no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@nzuri.rw.
Your data is primarily stored within the East Africa region. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these, contact us at info@nzuri.rw.
Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection: Object to processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
We will respond to all valid requests within 30 days. In complex cases, we may extend this by up to 60 days with notice.
Children's Privacy
Nzuri is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately. We will delete the information promptly.
Third-Party Links
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or social media profiles. These are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement.
Nzuri is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any information.
Communications & Marketing
By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails and SMS such as payment confirmations, listing status updates, and security alerts.
With your separate consent, we may send you marketing communications about new features, curated property picks, and Nzuri news.
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in any email or updating your notification preferences in your account settings.
Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages, which are essential to the operation of your account.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
Payment and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in compliance with Rwandan financial regulations.
Property listing data may be retained in anonymized form for market analytics purposes after a listing is removed.
Upon account deletion request, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
For significant changes, we will notify registered users via email or an in-platform notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
